Long-standing tradition continues
It has become a tradition for Salzburg Airport to lend a helping hand to its immediate neighbors and support them with a sum of money every year. The Lebenshilfe home in our neighboring community of Wals has always been supported as part of the annual airport run, receiving a higher amount of money for every kilometer run. The final sum was then donated to the Lebenshilfe residential project in Wals. The money will be used to make everyday life easier for the residents and carers in the residential home.
As part of the traditional family day on December 24th, the Maxglan parish also received a small donation for people who need it most at Christmas time. The airport has not stopped this tradition even during the COVID pandemic, although the popular Family Day has not been able to take place in recent years due to the strict COVID regulations.
Bettina Ganghofer, Managing Director of the airport, was delighted to be able to support both institutions financially.
