What is a safety zone?
Safety zones serve to keep a specific, defined area around an airfield free of obstacles and thus to maintain the safety of aviation.

Building in security zones
In the area of a safety zone, the construction of buildings, photovoltaic systems, mobile communications systems and construction equipment of any kind (telescopic cranes, tower cranes, mobile cranes, etc.) is subject to approval or approval.

Special permits
A special permit from Austro Control is required for the following points:
- Construction of systems with optical or electrical interference
- Launching small balloons, tethered balloons and kites
- Use of fireworks and lasers
