Into Summer 2023 with TUI in Salzburg

TUI continues the start of the summer season in Greece today with the first flight to Karpathos. The desire for sun, beach and sea is currently high: the flights to Rhodes, Crete and Larnaca from Salzburg Airport were fully booked last weekend. The market leader is offering up to 32 weekly departures in summer, 29 of them with its flight partner Eurowings. With the extensive summer flight program, TUI offers its guests in Salzburg and the surrounding area a short and relaxed journey.

TUI increases capacity from Salzburg by 12 percent 
In order to meet the high demand, TUI has expanded its flight capacities from Salzburg for summer 2023. “Once again this year, holidaymakers from Salzburg and the surrounding area prefer those destinations that are served directly from their home airport. We are therefore continuing our federal state offensive and are also expanding our offer,” announced Gottfried Math, Managing Director of TUI Austria, at a press conference at Salzburg Airport. “In concrete terms, this means 32 flights per week, eight of which will be new compared to summer 2022, increasing our charter capacity from Salzburg by a total of 12 percent,” says Math.  
TUI is placing a clear focus on this summer's trend destinations. “We offer our guests twelve flights a week to Greece - still the most popular vacation destination for our guests,” says Gottfried Math. Spain, especially Mallorca, is also in demand: from Salzburg, holidaymakers can take a daily flight to the popular Balearic island. Italy is in fourth place in the ranking of the best-booked vacation destinations: 2x a week to Sardinia, 1x to Calabria.

Two new destinations will be offered to TUI guests from Salzburg Airport in summer 2023: From June 9, Eurowings will fly twice a week to the Balearic island of Ibiza. TUI guests' favorite accommodation on Ibiza is the adults-only club TUI Magic Life Cala Pada in the northeast of the island. Since May 13, Eurowings has also been flying from Salzburg to Thessaloniki, Chalkidiki, on the Greek mainland every Saturday. Here, the five-star family hotel TUI Blue Lagoon Princess tops the ranking of the most popular accommodations. 
The rising stars of the summer among Austrian TUI guests are Turkey and Egypt, which TUI also flies to from Salzburg: 3x weekly flights to Antalya with Corendon and 2x weekly flights to Hurghada with Eurowings, from October even 3x weekly. Cyprus is also popular with Salzburg residents. A second weekly connection has been added for more flexible lengths of stay: From May 17, there will be 2 weekly flights to Larnaca on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
