Hola Barcelona - Attention Spain fans! Eurowings is now flying passengers from Salzburg to Spain's second largest city. With the new flight connection to Barcelona, the Lufthansa subsidiary is focusing on an additional Mediterranean destination and expanding its range of flights to Spain. In addition to the Spanish classic Palma de Mallorca, Eurowings will also be offering Ibiza in its flight schedule from Salzburg this summer.
With the new direct flight to Barcelona, Eurowings is adding another exciting city destination to its extensive route network from Salzburg. Every Monday and Friday, passengers from Salzburg can fly to the capital of Catalonia. 
Eurowings also connects Salzburg with numerous Greek islands such as Karpathos, Corfu, Kos, Crete, Rhodes and Zakynthos as well as other sunny destinations including Lamezia Terme, Olbia in Sardinia, Corsica, Larnaca and Hurghada.

Barcelona - definitely worth a visit!
The metropolis on the Mediterranean attracts visitors with its impressive architecture. The unfinished Sagrada Família basilica by Antoni Gaudí in particular is considered a landmark of the city and is definitely worth a visit. Park Güell, a colourful park full of Gaudi mosaics and creative structures, was also designed by Gaudí. The cable car ride to Montjuïc is also a special experience with a breathtaking view over the harbour and the sea. The historic Barri Gòtic neighbourhood invites you to stroll through winding alleyways and experience Barcelona's medieval history up close, visit Barcelona Cathedral and Plaça Reial, and then round off your stroll through the city with a spot of shopping on La Rambla, a famous promenade lined with shops, cafés and street artists. Barcelona also offers a wide range of excursion options, such as Montserrat, an impressive sandstone mountain range up to 1.200 metres high. Another good choice for an excursion is the charming and picturesque coastal town of Sitges with its many historic alleyways, beautiful beaches and good food.
