Information from a DPA report
Due to a recent DPA (Deutsche Presse Agentur) report, Salzburg Airport would like to inform passengers in advance who have booked a flight for next Friday on the Salzburg-Frankfurt and Salzburg-Hamburg routes.
The German trade union Verdi has called for all-day strikes this Friday at several airports in Germany (Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Dortmund, Hanover and Bremen). Passengers at these airports must be prepared for delays and flight cancellations.
In Salzburg, this could affect flights to and from Frankfurt and Hamburg. These would be the following scheduled departures from Salzburg this Friday:
LH 1109 (Lufthansa Frankfurt, 06:35), LH 1103 (Lufthansa Frankfurt, 10:30), LH1107 (Lufthansa Frankfurt, 19:00), EJU3434 (EasyJet Hamburg, 09:40) and EW4354 (Eurowings Hamburg, 18:40).
We kindly ask all passengers who have booked a flight to these airports this Friday to contact the airlines concerned.

Background
With the continuing warning strikes, initiated by the German trade union VERDI, employees at airports in Germany want to emphasize their demands in the ongoing wage dispute. There will be no strikes in Salzburg/Austria! Further warning strikes have been announced in Hesse, Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia, among other places, until the second round of wage negotiations on February 22 and 23.
