Play area expands existing range in the row of stores
Salzburg Airport's main terminal officially opened the Kids Area today. The play area for very young guests’ accompaniments the existing offer on the ground floor and provides a special highlight between the Relay Shop, So Coffee and the Resch & Frisch bakery as well as the Reisewelt travel agency.
The idea originated in the Property & Real Estate Management department, which is responsible for the optimal use of space at the airport.
The play area offers an additional benefit, especially for parents traveling with children or visiting the airport to pick up guests, for example. Two pieces of play equipment in the shape of a jumbo jet and a helicopter provide fun and entertainment for the little ones. Meanwhile, accompanying adults can make themselves comfortable on the six airplane seats set up in the Kids Area.
"An airport is its own little cosmos and a lively marketplace. Customers need catering and retail offers as well as places that invite them to linger. This is ensured by the catering units on the roof terrace level, on the second floor and in the departures area, as well as the offerings in the row of stores on the first floor. The Kids Area is another building block in the space utilization concept, which is intended to contribute to an improved customer experience," says Wolfgang Mittermayr, Head of Property & Real Estate Management.
TEEKANNE GmbH was secured as a cooperation partner for the new play area. Airport Managing Director Bettina Ganghofer and Thomas Göbel, Managing Director of TEEKANNE, were delighted to officially open the new play area. "We have created entertaining illustrations and let TEEKANNE travel around the world in the Kids Area and experience a wide variety of adventures. As a locally based company, we are delighted to be able to present ourselves to travelers at Salzburg Airport," emphasizes TEEKANNE Managing Director Thomas Göbel.
Some children from the airport and the TEEKANNE family were able to see the quality of the new play area for themselves during the opening and tested the play equipment for its fun factor and robustness. In the end, it was clear that there is no shortage of fun here and time is guaranteed to fly by!
