The kick-off for the European Football Championship 2024 took place on June 14 at the opening match between Germany and Scotland, with the final match scheduled for July 14 at the Olympia Stadion in Berlin.
24 European teams will participate in UEFA EURO 2024 and the European Championship will be held in different stadiums in ten cities (Olympia Stadion Berlin, Stadion Köln, BVB Stadion Dortmund, Düsseldorf Arena, Frankfurt Arena, Arena Auf Schalke Gelsenkirchen, Volksparkstadion Hamburg, Leipzig Stadion, Munich Football Arena, Stuttgart Arena).
The first Austria match will take place today, June 17, in the Düsseldorf Arena against France. This morning's Eurowings flight was fully booked - almost 200 passengers took advantage of the opportunity to travel quickly to the city of art and fashion in western Germany. To ensure that the good mood continued from the airport straight to the game, Austria fans were greeted with soccer fan goodies at the gate before the departure of EW4334 SZB-DUS (departure 8:20 a.m.). A total of around 2.5 million visitors are expected at this year's European Championships.
