Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings is planning to launch a new connection from Austria to the Netherlands in the coming winter season. From December 1, 2023, the Salzburg - Amsterdam route will be served twice a week (FR & SO) with an Airbus A320.

However, the new flight connection is also ideal for a city trip for guests from the catchment area of western Austria and southern Bavaria and can be combined with all Lufthansa connections from/to Salzburg (Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Copenhagen, Billund, Aalborg, Frankfurt).

Experience Amsterdam
Amsterdam is one of the most open-minded and trendiest cities in Europe with many relaxed bars, great festivals, 200 "cafés" in the city center, 150 canals, 1,281 bridges and a vibrant, varied and colorful nightlife. The refreshing mix of rich cultural history, charming canal houses and energetic nightlife is what makes the city so special. Around 830,000 people live in Amsterdam, the city of painter Rembrandt, Nobel Prize winner Frits Zernike and brewer Alfred Heiniken. There are 7 things you must do to really experience Amsterdam: A canal cruise on one of the many excursion boats through the three main canals (Herengracht, Keizersgracht and the Prinsengracht), a visit to the Rijksmuseum with works by Rembrandt or Vermeers, a walk through the 47-hectare Vondelpark, an exploration of the city by bike, a culinary tour of the many street stalls with traditional thick fries, Dutch cheese and sweet stroopwafels or poffertjes, a visit to the 22-storey A'DAM Lookout with a swing ride (Over the Edge) at a height of 100 meters with a stunning view over Amsterdam and of course you have to dive into Amsterdam's nightlife to taste Amsterdam beer in one of the traditional bars and then let the night pass quickly in the numerous clubs from house to hip-hop to techno. If the weather is bad, you can visit the large shopping center at Magna Plaza, which is one of Amsterdam's ten most famous landmark buildings. On four levels (more than 5,000 square meters), products from the most diverse areas of life are offered.
