Christmas Eve is once again characterized by the popular Family Day
The Family Day at Salzburg Airport is going to take place for the 33rd time this year. Under the motto "Waiting for the Christkind", families can shorten the hours until the presents are given.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will once again be numerous play stations and attractions in Amadeus Terminal 2: From the Punch & Judy show & magic clown, bouncy castle to the flight simulator, handicrafts with the Maxglan Scouts to traffic training with bobby cars or the nostalgia carousel, there is something for everyone. There are also stations where children can paint, build and knead. A carriage ride takes you around the parking garage.
Anyone who wants to find out interesting facts about the airport is in good hands on the airport tour in a modern coach. This year, for the first time, the tour will be conducted via Terminal 1. Those interested can register directly for the desired tour at the designated check-in desk and will receive a lanyard and boarding pass entitling them to take part in the bus tour. Bags and dangerous items (e.g. liquids, pocket knives, etc.) that you bring with you will be deposited at the restricted baggage belt for the duration of the tour. From an agreed meeting point, participants will be guided through security to the boarding gate. From here, a bus will take them to the airport apron!
Need a last-minute Christmas present? Our partner Heinemann will be opening its doors to Family Day visitors on December 24. The photo box, which will be set up again this year, will provide a souvenir photo.
Visitors to the Family Day can park free of charge in parking lot P3 and in the multi-storey parking lot.
