Hearing completed as first ranked
Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Airport Supervisory Board Christian Stöckl congratulated Managing Director, Bettina Ganghofer, on her first place in the completed Hearing Commission.
"As Chairman, I have today forwarded the report of the Hearing Commission to the Airport Supervisory Board, the approval of which was unanimous," said Deputy Governor Christian Stöckl, adding, "With Bettina Ganghofer, Salzburg Airport remains in highly professional and, above all, experienced hands. Coping with the current Corona situation and the upcoming investments as well as realignments need a leader just as much."
Formal approvals still pending
Following the airport supervisory board, the airport owners, the state and city of Salzburg, must now give their approval. This will be scheduled in the course of the next few weeks in the state government and the city senate, respectively. After that, Bettina Ganghofer will be appointed Managing Director by the General Assembly of Salzburg Airport, a date for which has not yet been set.

Bettina Ganghofer has been Managing Director of Salzburg Airport since October 2017. Prior to that, she held various positions at Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG from 2009. Before joining there, Ganghofer spent 24 years with the Lufthansa Group. For just under six years, she served on the management board of Shanghai International Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd (PACTL). Bettina Ganghofer trained as an airline clerk and completed management studies at the University of Lancaster, from which she graduated with a Master of Art degree. She lives in Salzburg, is married and mother of two children.
