British Airways subsidiary BA Euroflyer launches flight program from Salzurg: Salzburg is a popular destination for the British both in summer and winter
On June 1, the British Airways subsidiary BA Euroflyer launched their flight program to Salzburg with its first landing from the British metropolis London. BA Euroflyer will operate the Salzburg-London Gatwick route four times a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat, Sun). BA Euroflyer significantly contributes to the positive development of the upcoming summer flights to the British Isles and is thus an essential part in the year-round flight program of Salzburg Airport. This past winter, Salzburg offered flights to London Gatwick (up to twice daily) as well as London Heathrow and, also had Southampton and London City Airport in its flight schedule.
This summer, Austria’s largest regional airport, will be the first airport in Austria to offer flights operated by BA’s subsidiary Euroflyer. Salzburg Airport and British Airways are linked by a long, almost historic, partnership, as the first scheduled flight London – Salzburg took place with a BEA DC-3 on April 22, 1955. Since 1999, the British national carrier has been a fixed and reliable airline partner for Salzburg. British Airways is a founding member of the oneworld alliance, allowing members of it’s Executive Club frequent flyer programme to collect Avios and take advantage of the diverse route network offered by the entire alliance. The United Kingdom has always been one of the most important destinations for Austria and Bavaria. BA Euroflyer’s new flight connection significantly increases the offer of one of the most sought-after business travel destinations, which, in addition, is also very popular with short-haul holidaymakers.
Steve Allen, Chief Commercial Officer at BA Euroflyer said: “It’s fantastic to be able to add to our growing BA Euroflyer network with these new flights during summer which will bring year-round access between Salzburg and London Gatwick. Our customers can look forward to experiencing our unique British Airways service, including our recently expanded menu available for purchase in our Euro Traveller cabin, and full service in Club Europe, with the opportunity to earn and spend Avios through our award-winning loyalty programme.”
Flights are available to book now on ba.com and start from €52 each way.
