“Eurowings simply is a great and reliable partner. Together we were able to offer a range of new flights, which not only pleases me as CEO, but in particular our passengers who put special emphasis on quality and reliability. Guests from Salzburg and Bavaria enjoy travelling with Eurowings, but also passengers from all over the world use the airline to visit Salzburg, its surrounding and the neighbouring Bavaria. On either side of the border you will find a wide range of activities in sports, culture and arts loved by young and old alike” says Bettina Ganghofer, CEO of Salzburg Airport.
In January 2017 the airline started flying to Brussels, Paris and Hamburg several times a week. Flights to Cologne/Bonn were expanded to seven weekly flights. With the summer flight programme 2017 the carrier put special emphasis on sunshine destinations in the Mediterranean like Olbia and Palma de Mallorca. The current winter timetable especially focuses on British destinations. New additions to the Eurowings flight plan from Salzburg include Birmingham, Manchester, London Stansted and London Heathrow. Furthermore, passengers can fly from Salzburg to Bremen once a week.
