Prepared for an Emergency
Salzburg Airport's Category 9 fire-fighting designation corresponds to the second highest level in ICAO guidelines. As a Category 9 facility, 24,300 litres of water and 1,458 litres of foaming agentas as well as 450 kg of powder are available from at least three fire engines at Salzburg Airport. The directive also stipulates that the three fire engines together must generate an output of at least 9,000 litres of foam-water mixture in one minute.
